Based on this standpoint ,the best place is Akusekijima where is part of Tokara islands.
In Akusekijima,we can watch total-eclipse in 6 minutes 25 seconds.
But only tour members of "Kinki Nippon Tourist" can visit Tokara islands (that contains Akusekijima) on July 22, 2009.
So if we want to watch solar-eclipse in Akusekijima,we must join their tour.
In south of Yakushima,we can also watch it in 4 minutes or more.
In north of Amami-Ohshima,we can also watch it in 4 minutes or less.

In Amami ohshima ,they say to be able to accept about 6800 travlers on July 22, 2009. We can visit by air from Tokyo ,Osaka or Kagoshima Airport. We can also visit by ship from Tokyo,Kobe or Kagoshima port.
